Weeping and Rejoicing

When Mike and I left Brazil for furlough back in February, we said goodbye to Mariane, knowing that me may never see her again. Yesterday, the day before we head back, she was adopted. Although our hearts are aching and we've both shed many tears, I can't describe the joy I felt when she told me on the phone, "My new mom and dad are coming today to take me to Sao Paulo!" I'm starting to cry as I type because I can't imagine our life without this precious little girl...but my heart also dances for her and the new family that our heavenly Father has given her! Cry and rejoice with us and Mariane!

I'm so glad you got to talk to her on the phone. What emotional roller coasters you all go through at CLM. Our thoughts and prayers are with you! I'm sure everyone will be so glad to have you home. Safe journey!

Oh my goodness... so bitter sweet! I'm so thankful God is providing her with a forever family. But I'm even more thankful that CLM was there for her in her time of need to shower her with unconditional love and affection. I'm sure she KNOWS she is valueable and is a treasure after her time at CLM. I will continue to pray for her in this transition!

O wow...definitely bittersweet! She is such a very sweet girl. Her new family is very blessed to have as well as she is to have them. Praying for you all as this adjustment is made!
