More Snake Sightings!

Diogo spent two nights at the hospital so they could keep him under close observation. We are thankful to report that he has made a full recovery...and that his misfortune has caused all the kids to be a little more aware of wearing shoes outside! Although we are in winter and shouldn't be seeing snakes, we have had several warm, sunny days that must have drawn them back out of hibernation. Talissa and I had taken a group of eight kids and four dogs for a walk behind our house...and according to Alisson, I almost stepped on the tail of a black snake! He was half on the road and half in the grass and didn't move when we all passed by. Upon closer inspection, he was indeed alive, just a little sluggish from sunbathing! The same day that Diogo was bitten, Amanda opened the back door of their house and almost stepped on a small garter snake, basking in the sun. Thank you for praying for Diogo and for God's protection of all of our children.
