My wonderful husband will have his 41st birthday this Saturday, October 9th. We've known each other since we were 10 years old and have been best friends for over 25 years. He is an amazing man and the best gift that God has given me on this earth. After 20 years of marriage without children, it's been wonderful to watch him for the first time as a father over these last six months. I have discovered that he has many other hidden talents, too. A few weeks ago, one of the four cakes we needed for Geovane and Adir's birthday party was destroyed. Mike took on the challenge of fixing it, creating an elaborate volcano...and we discovered that he is a master cake decorator! He recently put together his first 896-piece 3-D puzzle of a castle that I can honestly say I wouldn't have been able to assemble if I had the rest of my life to try. Last week, he decided he wanted to build a boat for the boys...and voila, we have a fishing boat from scratch that looks like it was professionally done! Please pray for Mike as he navigates his new role as Dad, and continues ministering to the children and staff at CLM.
